The second episode of the ROBINSON H2020 webinar series is out!
March 15 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
The ROBINSON H2020 Consortium is pleased to invite you to the second episode of its training webinar series. During these virtual events, participants will familiarise with environmental, socio-economic, and technical topics related to the project.
During the upcoming episode entitled “Policies, regulations, and social acceptance in the decarbonisation of islands”, which will take place on Friday, 15 March at 11.00 (CET), we will touch upon the non-technical challenges and opportunities which affect the implementation of sustainable projects.
The following ROBINSON H2020 project partners will share their experience and learnings from the last years of implementation:
- Nicolò Cairo (Project Officer, ETN Global), with a presentation on “Ambitious, but realistic policies for islands decarbonisation“. Nicolò will give a presentation of the recent White Paper on Replication, which was issued in September 2023 with other sister project. The document, which you can find at this link, addresses the main challenges and opportunities in the replication of sustainable projects on a vaste scale.
- Søren Djørup (Senior Researcher, NORCE), with a presentation on “Social acceptance of decentralised energy in an industrialised area: Interim observations and learnings from the ROBINSON project“. As part of his research role in the ROBINSON H2020 Project, Søren will share the most relevant results on topics related to social acceptance. The engagement of the local stakeholders is a key pillar of our Consortium activities, as it ensures the effective deployment of innovative technologies.
- Frank Richert (Co-founder, REST), with a presentation on “Regulation of Decentralised Energy Systems. Far from uniform at European level“. In light of his role as technology provider for ROBINSON and representative of our Consortium in the BRIDGE Regulation Working Group, Frank will explain the regulatory challenges and the differences among European countries. As ROBINSON technological solutions are being deployed in three different countries, our Consortium has already being gathering a solid set of learnings, which may be relevant for our sister projects and other initiatives.
A Q&A session will follow at the end of the webinar.
