The University of Genoa (UNIGE) participates to this project with the Department of Mechanical, Energy, Management and Transportation Engineering (DIME). The DIME hosts the Fuel Cell Systems University Technology Centre of Rolls-Royce and the Fincantieri joint laboratory for activities related to fuel cells. The activities planned for this project will be carried out by the Thermochemical Power Group (TPG), that is composed of mechanical and chemical engineers, to carry out theoretical and experimental research in the field of advanced energy systems: distributed generation, smart polygeneration grids, hydrogen, energy storage, fuel cells, hybrid systems, microturbines, dynamics, thermoeconomics, turbomachinery, optimization, etc.
