Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (Western Isles Council) is the Local Authority for the Western Isles (or Outer Hebrides) of Scotland and delivers a wide range of statutory and non-statutory services for the benefits of residents and communities in the islands. The Outer Hebrides are a chain of islands off the west coast of Scotland with a population of around 26,000, the majority of the population being situated in and around the main town of Stornoway.
